What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Contact forms

If you book an appointment, through the appointments pagecontact page or through a contact form embedded in a blog post, I will collect your Name, Email Address, Country, Phone Number if you provide it, and your message. I will only use this data to contact you.

If you contact me for a Shamanic Wedding Ceremony through the Shamanic Wedding Ceremonies page, I will collect your Name, Email Address and Message. I will only use this data to contact you.

This information is first securely sent to us via email. It is then stored on an encrypted Spreadsheet.

By providing the data in appointments pagecontact page or through a contact form embedded in a blog post, you consent that I store this data. I collect just enough data to come back to you and set up an initial appointment, a follow-up appointment or a shamanic wedding ceremony.

You can request at any time to be deleted from my clients and contacts file. To do so, just use my contact page, or send me an email at dawnpaul232@gmail.com.

You can request at any time to access the data I hold about you at any time. To do so, just use my contact page, or send me an email at dawnpaul232@gmail.com.

I will NEVER share your data with any third party.

Clients data

Other than your contact details, I DO NOT store any data about my clients in an electronic form.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.  Further information about Google’s privacy policy may be obtained from http://www.google.com/privacy.html.

How long do I retain your data

If you shared your contact details through the appointments pagecontact page or through a contact form embedded in a blog post, I will keep your contact data in my encrypted clients and contacts file indefinitely.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Data breach procedure

In the unlikely event of a data breach, I will inform the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office. If the breach is likely to result in a risk to your data privacy, I will inform you.
