Part of a shaman’s role is to carry out ceremonies on behalf of the community. I am delighted to be able to now offer shamanic/spiritual weddings and baby naming ceremonies.

Weddings

Many couples today choose not to have a conventional marriage ceremony. Perhaps they don’t want to be tied down legally, or they may be uncomfortable for some reason with a church setting. However, these couples still want, and deserve, a “special day” - they wish to honour their relationship and make a commitment to each other in front of their family or friends, or even just between themselves in a private ceremony.

Or, couples may be happy to have a conventional marriage, or indeed may already be married - but yearn for something extra, something special. A bonding on all levels of their being, witnessed by the ancestors, Great Spirit, the sun moon and stars, and all the forces of nature.

If so, then a shamanic or spiritual wedding can be a wonderful experience. The service involves all elements of nature in witnessing the commitment of the couple, and simply honouring each element – asking for the union to be blessed at all levels and asking for the relationship to be gently guided, balanced and assisted by the hand of spirit, so that your journey together can be a smooth and blissful one.

Baby Naming Ceremonies

The gift of a child is a blessing from God and many parents are looking for a beautiful and sacred way of honouring and blessing the child, and giving thanks for its arrival. The ceremony can be tailored to suit, - as well as a blessing for the child, the parents and those who will act as guardians for the child within sacred space, the child can also be gifted protection and the healers rites, to help him or her walk the path of beauty, truth and love throughout his or her life.

Again this is suitable for all, whether used alone or in conjunction with a traditional christening ceremony. Remember the shamanic path treats everything as holy. Shamanism can therefore be used in conjunction with any other religious belief or tradition.
