The Qero

The Q’ero are a nation of people who live in the “villages in the clouds” a community that have existed in the harsh and scarce conditions of the Andean mountains – at an altitude of 14,000 feet plus - since being driven there by the invading Spanish Conquistadors 500 years ago. Many of the Q’ero would say that they have lived within the shelter of the sacred mountains – known to them as the “Apu’s” since the beginning of time.

The Q’ero are the last remaining descendants of the Inca, and they are known
as the “Wisdom Keepers” of the Inca. Throughout the generations, their oral traditions have preserved the ancient healing methods and rituals of the Inca Shaman. They have also protected the sacred prophecies pertaining to the future of mankind and the planet.

This knowledge has remained pure and untouched by outside influences for thousands of years.

However, the Q’ero always knew that there would come a time when the world would need to be reminded of the ancient healing ways and wisdom of the Inca. At this time, their prophecies foretold, they would come down from their lofty hiding place and spread their knowledge.

That time is upon us and the Q’ero know this, have known this for some years. Fifty years ago they started to share their knowledge with those from the West as all the indications were shown that we were entering a time of “Pachakuti” – “Pacha” meaning Earth or time, and “Kuti” meaning “to turn upside down/to set things right” – therefore, since the year 2000, we have been entering a time of great turmoil, the aim of which is to eventually “set things right on Earth”. This process – which is set to end in 2012, is also mirrored in the prophecies of the Hopi and the Mayan people.

Our understanding of time may alter after this change – indeed the Inca believed that doorways between the worlds of matter and spirit would open up and we may simply be able to step through them, into a new dimension, where we, our children and our children’s children live in a new golden age, a place of peace and harmony, living in right relationship with each other and the Earth.
